Well, I didn't actually build it. I bought it. But I did contribute to its ugliness afterwards. N5834 was certificated in 1995. I am at least the 6th owner after the builder, make that final builder. This plane traveled all over Florida, to Texas and had 3 owners in Ohio. (I actually picked it up in Michigan.) Not one of them admits to ever flying it.
BTW, I am determined to finish my White Lightning, but I realized last November that it was going to take a lot longer than I thought. So I purchased this completed, certificated KR-2 and worked on it for 6 months prior to flying it. The question remains, "Will there be an ugly award?"
