For whats its worth the only other time I have seen a repeated oil leak that stumped me and other techs prior to a total teardown was when a crank was broken, but not broken into two pieces. Seems crazy but today's metalurgy is alot better than before so it behaves in some strange ways. Occurred on a late model Toyota Tacoma truck with the new double overhead cam engine. Never knocked, or showed any other symptom....
