KRNetters,
Since it's a little slow tonight, I thought that I'd
share some exciting news (even though it isn't
"Fun-Friday"):
Today at 11:15 pm, CDR Ralph Alderson USN and Darryl
W. Davis (U.S. Navy and Boeing Program Managers)
officially loaded the aft carry-through bulkhead onto
the X-45C Assembly Jig, formally starting production
for the first aircraft.
The ceremony was attended by DOD dignitaries, Boeing
executives, supplier representatives and of course the
X-45 team. The ceremony was also simulcast to Boeing
sites in Mesa, AZ., Tulsa, OK. and Seattle, WA.
Team members were asked to autograph a X-45C
Production Banner which will hang on the wall over the
production floor.
Boeing also supplied team members with lunch and
special edition coffee cups to commemorate the
occasion.
Thus far the X-45C program is On Schedule, On
Budget, and 165 lbs under allocated weight. Go Team!!!
