I can't resist to add on to this message. I have seen lots of KR's and the only KR I would burn was one named Rush which I saw at Oshkosh about 18 years ago. The FAA grounded it and he took off anyway. No sign of him since. Every other KR is a work of art in it's own way and all you have to do is talk to the owners to find they have worked their butts off to get to where they are and in my opinion any flying KR is an award winner.
By the way, my doctor just wrote me a letter saying my high blood pressure was under control so I will now get to go back to the airport and get my plane ready to fly again. If I saw Langfords KR, I would probably burn mine. I almost did that after seeing Dan and Jerry's. My worst nightmare is that I show up at the KR gathering in my KR the same year that Mark Langford comes in his, and nobody notices I'm there. Oh well, if mine puts a smile on my face Like Larrys then It will all be worth it. During my return home, I made a slight detour and stopped by Mark Langford's house. Well, let me tell you....Langford is full of crap when he makes the statement "it is good enough for KR work". Do not believe anything he says about his plane not being perfect. It is immaculate. He has paid attention to every fine detail. He has spared no cost nor cut any corners. And on top of that, his skins are as smooth as silk. Langford will have an award winning plane at the gathering and I only thought I had a nice plane until I saw his. I have a lot of body work to compare to his finish so until that is done, I will have to park my plane at the opposite end of the ramp. Seriously, I am extremely impressed with his plane and we are all in for a treat when it arrives at the gathering.
