From http://www.mcmaster.com/ , you can buy the 10ml pipette #41405T5 for $9.24. You don't even need (or want) the bulb. I don't think you need the $110 model from Jegs for what you're doing. Somebody might argue that it'd be nice to have the 100ml model with stand, but I've reproduced three measurements and come out within .1 ml each time, so I think it's close enough to use a 10ml. I just suck some atf/kerosene up in there, cover the end with my finger, drain it til the miniscus is at the 0ml mark, and put the rest in the chamber, repeat five more times, and pay particular attention to the final reading on the fifth load. It works for me, and only costs 10 bucks. Most people aren't trying to match combustion chamber sizes, but just get an idea of what their chamber volume is so they can get the right shims under them to get their target compression ratio. As shown at http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/corvair/valvejob.html , even when you know the chamber volumes, the available shim thicknesses dictate that you can only shift the compression ratio by something like a third of a point anyway...
