Brian
I just came in from attaching the other half of hinge to the top cowl
half. They are drilled and counter sunk from the inside face, sanded
cleaned and floxed in place, Then one layer of bid, KR glass lapped over
the hinge to the cowl inside. I carefully put Vaseline inside all the
hinge holes before I mixed epoxy this morning. I have the it curing for
an hour or so now, then I'm going to take the clamps off and reassemble
the cowl to the fuselage with the piano wire, remove the last cleco's and
let it cure in place so that hopefully every thing will come apart and
fit back together every time.
