Mine is mounted to the belly skin immediatly behind the rear spar. I reinforced the floor with a piece of 1/4" X 1" spruce from one bottom longeron to the other and mounted the piano hinge using 5 each 3/16" bolts. Other than airframe buffeting I've noticed no effects on handling when deployed down to 90 degrees. My KR is stretched 24 inches but is otherwise plans built. My "uneducated"guess is that I'd want it behind the center of lift and C.G for stability reasons. I can't see any reason that trigear or Diehl wing skins would make any difference. Larry Flesner
