Odds are the tail is NEVER going to hit that hard. I'd think two times the tail weight with "all souls on board" and fuel, if you have wing tanks, (behind CG) would be more than enough. As a matter of fact, I can't think of a situation where tail weight X 1 wouldn't be enough. Rough field operations, maybe? Maybe if you "drop it in" sometime but Geeze, I'd hate to be riding with you if you drop it in hard enough to break the tailwheel assy !!! :-) Larry Flesner
