Has anyone installed an Australian made Jabiru 2200 engine in there KR-2. I have a KR-2 built by someone else with a 1835VW engine. It works fine but as it is a VW it is very noisy. The Jabiru engine's are very quiet, whisper quiet and very reliable and the factory is just up the road from me. So, I am going remove the VW and install the Jabiru and also remove the fixed taildragger gear to go with the Diehl tricycle gear, which is yet to be purchased. My next question is, does anyone have Diehl tri-gear for sale and how does it stand up to roughish grass/dirt strips? Thanks, Garrie.
