If you want to fly soon, don't balance it. If you want to balance it, don't fly soon. I would glass it on as I don't think the timber could stand the strain as it is not very wide or thick. After you do that, you will have to consider weight and balance. Now you may have to move the engine forward. If you do that, you will probably have to re-build your cowling.
