Larry, well again not exactly:-)  You can use any pitot static system of 
your choice.  If you want to take advantage of the angle of attack feature, 
you have to spring for non heated pitot/AOA unit.  You can simply slide it 
into an existing 3 1/8" round panel hole so no mounting kit is required.  
The flush mounting kit costs something like $20.  What you are referring to, 
with the $95 feature, looks about the price of the remote mag sensor if you 
want to isolate the DG function from any ferrous metals.  Since I don't have 
any spinning gyros in my panel the DG function is very accurate but I did 
spring for the remote sensor, just for insurance.

So, bottom line $1995 and you can slide it into an existing hole, hook up 
any pitot/static system of your choice, provide power and you're off and 
running with no additional expense.
