Lynn, Thanks for you concern. Yes. Polyester (P/E) resin with a smooth finish must be sanded. Vinyl Easter (V/E) is a laminating resin and sticks much better to it's self than P/E. (You said I used Epoxy, Sorry I did not ) I only used V/Ester I did not have smooth finishes inside or out of my tanks, from all info I have received , it should be fine. Also I made long fine removable Finger strainers for both tank outlets.
