Today, I have completed the installation of all the fuel lines through the stub wings to the Facet pump to the fuel shut off valve to the firewall to the mechanical pump and have a temporary line to the carb. I mounted the Facet to a block of wood which was in turn floxed to the fuselage floor under the pilots seat. I just finished wiring the pump to an independent on-off switch and I then hit the on switch to make sure the Facet was working. Man was that pump loud. My questions are: Will the pump quiet down with fuel in it? Does the pump, being mounted directly to a block of wood floxed to the floor amplify the noise? Should I put a rubber pad between the Facet and the block of wood to dampen the noise? Thanks
