Dear Group, first: thanks for all the important informations I got out of reading your articles the last months.
I bought the almost completed KR2 N234AF ( previously OY-CYU ) a couple of months ago in germany. A few days ago I contacted an FAA-DAR in germany to get my plane certified, and he responded " ...Dear Sir, Sorry to tell you this, but this type of aircraft cannot be Certified outside the U.S.A. etc .... " During my stay in Los Angeles last year, I asked ad the local FSDO about getting an aircraft certified in germany, and they said it is no problem. I would appreciate any hint what might have caused his descision since he is not explaining it to me. Best regards Ralf Simon
