Harold
I worked with an aileron torque tube system for some time. I drew a sketch
of how it should work, built a crude wood system, built a system out of
4130 tube, decided it was too flexible, so ordered some heaver tubes.I
worked with it some more but was not satisfied with my bearing design so
scrapped the system and went back to cable and bellcrank. Its lighter,
cheaper doesn't take as much time as designing and redesigning and it
works. I was even going to make the bellcrank moveable so as to have a
flaperon system. Take a look at
http://www.jackandsandycooper.com/aileroncontrol.html . Hope you have
better luck.
