Sorry to hear about your heart attack and thankfull to hear that you are O.K.
I have a friend that had a stint put in three years ago. He lost his medical. He is going to try to get a new medical now. He told me that the FAA required him to not have any problems for some minimum amount of time before he was eligable for a new medical. I can't remember exactly what the time was, but I think it was a year or two. I am not an expert, but I am almost 100% certain that you do have to report it to the FAA. If you are an AOPA member call them and ask one of their medical specialist, if not, the cost of membership is well worth the help and advice their experts can give you. I suspect you could also find something on it on their web site. Good luck and don't give up. Charles Buddy & Cheryl Midkiff wrote: I have a question regarding turnbuckle use. I switched from single center stick to rands dual stick assembly. On my single stick I had the turnbuckles for the elevator hooked directly to the stick via a AN161-16RS fork this is also the same as the MS21252-3RS fork. The problem with the dual stick is that there is not enough play behind where the AN3 bolt goes through which makes it rub on the floor. I have noticed on some of the posted pictures a very short cable in-between the stick and the rest of the cable. I think I could eliminate this extra short cable if I could find a fork that would fit in the barrel that had 1/2" behind the bolt instead of the 1/4". Any suggestions? Different subject, I had a heart attack on the second of November and they found the blockage and installed a stint in the area to fix the problem. I told my cardiologist that I am a licensed private pilot and he told me that the FAA would require me to be grounded a minimum of six months. Have any of you been through this or know what my responsibilities are in this matter and just what hoops I am now required to jump through for them? Am I supposed to notify the FAA when something like this has happened? Bud Midkiff (KR-2 stretched to KR2S length) Lynnwood, WA email: c.midk...@verizon.net
