My oil pressure is "by the book" at 40 pounds hot, 60+ on a
cold start. My temp will not quite reach 180 even after 30
minutes in the air so. My cylinder head temp is around
300F after climbout and set up in cruise so I think I have
a basicly sound engine with a good setup (cowl, cooling, etc.)

I got two lengthly posts from two very knowledgeable people and
if they would give me their permission I'd like to share the info
with the group. They know who the are and I think they both
have given me info that will solve my problem.

Right now my prop is rolling down the interstate to Florida to
Ed Sterba's house to be repitched from a 68D to a 64D. I hope
to get at least 200 more rpm for takeoff and climbout and with
the extra rpm on top end my cruise should hold or even improve.
I'll use the downtime to "tweek" the engine and probably go
out to exercise the Tripacer. :-)

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas or a very happy
holiday season for whatever holiday you are celebrating.
