Right now I am building my outbd fwd spars. I don't understand drawing no. 17 where it shows a 12 1/2" piece of plywood being glued to the fwd face of the spar. When I tapered my spar caps for the outbd spars it says not to taper until 7" .
How is the plywood on the fwd face fit at the root If the taper starts 7" out?
