Tire inflation pressure has a lot to do with the weight of the vehicle. If the weight of the bird is (close) to plans, the tire pressure, as published, is correct. My KR-1 should weigh in at around 375 pounds (in my dreams!) and I'm using the fixed Diehl gear salvaged from a cracked up KR-2. The previous builder used larger wheels and tires so once I finish the plane, I ll weigh it and contact ACS or Wicks or whomever (read: tire manufacturer) and check for the proper inflation pressures.
