Peter,

Welcome. I have flown a KR2 and while it is pitch sensitive, it is not
difficult to fly. I am sure that the extension that you get with the KR2S
will be most sufficient. Yes you can widen it, but do you NEED to? I
emphasize NEED. I am now building my second KR2 and have modified both of
them slightly. I have found that for every modification you make, you have
to make many others to compensate for it. Weigh every modification very
carefully. You will pay for every one of them in one way or another. Most
of them will cost you in performance.

Always think about total weight and keeping that weight within CG limits.

We are glad to have you and ask anything you want to ask about building a KR
or an engine to power it.
