You're right, the radii on the material that I got are very small, even on the 2.5" x 4" x .125" firewall angle. If it makes you feel any better, there were a bunch of them built that way! I've always wondered why RR would supply stuff like that, when other material is available. I've always bought AL from Wicks or Shapiro Supply, with generous radii whenever possible...
