One of the points of exhaust wrap is to keep EGT higher
so that there is a higher temp differential as the
gas exits the tube... this is supposed to translate
into increased HP... some small amount per deg.

However, if you didn't plate your exhaust, it will corrode.
I was advised NOT to wrap my exhaust, so I had it ceramic
coated instead.  I don't have lots of EGT data as I have
only done static tests so far... and have no "BEFORE"
temps.   If you want the numbers I can get them from
my construction log next time I'm at the hangar.
