Netters, Wow, what an experience! Red Oak was the first time that My Wife and I made a KR Gathering! We left Wright City, MO. at about 4:00 am and arrived in Red Oak about 10:30. The weather was overcast and intermittant rain showers most of the way there, but the wather gods smiled and there was a visable "hole" in the weather hovering right over Red Oak! You could see it for over a hundred miles! The 1st Flight seminar was in full swing when we arrived, so Michelle and I stood in the back and watched and listened. There were about 4 KR's there when we arrived, so we started checking out the planes. Steve Alderman's little Hot Rod flew like a fighter, visably faster than everything out there, Man, I really wished that I could have gotten a ride in that one, Oh well, maybe next year! Jim Faughn's beautiful little KR was there of course, and Jim was continually giving rides, including a ride to a terminally ill patient. She was all smiles after the ride. Thanks Jim, that was wonderful. It was really great to finally meet ML, Dan & Jerry, Bill Moreland and others. You can finally put a face to the name! My wife noted that Jerry's a flirt! All in all, the gathering was a great experience for everyone that made it. Thanks a million to the Bennett's and the organizers for all of their efforts. See you all in Mt. Vernon!
