I cannot vouch for my KR yet, as it is not in the air. But I do fly a wide
variety of other aircraft: C152, C172, Mooney, Piper Seminole twin, Duchess, to
name a few. If the air is smooth, they can all be trimmed out somewhat for
hands off flight. But if conditions are bumpy, even a fully loaded Aztec at
5000 plus pounds will have alittle excess movement and require frequent
attention. The lighter of these examples always tend to move around more,
regardless of the air. It just goes with the territory, if you are light and
small, you are going to move around a good bit. Even at 11pm last night on a
night cross country, with the air completely smooth, you could not leave that
172 alone for very long, or it would being to drift up down or left or right.
If your KR doesn't fly like it has a mind of its own, or seem to fight you,
then you have done a good job. Also, the higher you can cruise the easier it
will be to get greater stability. Staying down around 1500-2000" is where it is
almost always bumpy if the Sun is up. A basic Newton Law is less mass easier
to displace (paraphrased).
