KR>Fuel Sight Guage

A few years ago  in an edition of the KR Newaletter,  There was a picture or 
drawing of a fuel sight guage that had a series of lines about a quarter inch 
wide, alternating dark and white lines  that were at a 45 degree angle.  This 
was placed behind the sight guage and made the fuel show up better. Does 
anyone know the issue date or number or can fill in some of the blanks  for me>
