Jim,
Get some high temperature fireplace silicone caulk found at your local
building supply house. Put a bead all over the  plywood firewall and spread
with a notched trowel. Apply the fiberfrax and then do the same for the
stainless. The silicone caulk only needs to hold the frax and stainless in
place because as you mount things to the firewall, the frax and stainless
will not go anywhere.

    I¹m ready to apply the Fiberfrax and the stainless steel to the
firewall.  Do you glue both around the edge with resin or is there something
better?  Do you cover the exposed edges with micro and resin?
