Yes, I knew about that one. Inefficient, for sure. It's the one that was pulled directly from a Corvair and hung on an airplane, blower fan and all! That costs about 6 or 7 horsepower right there, and I also believe it used the stock carburetors, which have no mixture control, hence the high fuel burn rate. And it had the stock cam, which is pretty inefficient at 3000 rpm. Not one of the better thought out "conversions", but an example of one that's been flying for something like 20 years, nonetheless.
