I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work just fine with the stock system. Just eliminate the extra junk at the top of the bracket that supports my flap torque tube (saving more weight and reducing building complexity). But rather than welding one tall bellcrank onto the aluminum clamp collar, weld on two short stubby ones (top and bottom) with hole spacing the same as the elevator bellcrank and I would think it would work just fine. I would think that the drawings located at http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/kcontrol.html#update would be all you'd need to build it, at least that was my intention.
