The 1/4 inch AV plywood for my KR-2S firewall has about 16 plys per 1/4
inch
Marine grade has about 8 plys per 1/4 inch
Home Depot has about 4 plys per 1/4 inch

AV 1/4 plywood is like steel
The Home Depot 1/4 plywood is like drywall

This observation is not totally accurate, however... you get the point.
All kidding aside... AV plywood cost a fortune but is amazing and safe
and the correct and recommended material. My inspector checked my
plywood in the boat stage.

Subject: KR>Wood Question

I seen Birch Plywood at the Local wood store. Is this ok for airplanes?
I know a fellow plane builder in my chapter who is building his plane
with Birch but im not sure where he got it. I am no expert in anyway
(obvously) on what is acceptable.
