For those that can't weld you may want to braze using IDEAL Industrial
Supplies 3-4-1 rod and a propane torch. You can see it demo'ed at EAA
Oshkosh Fly-in.  I have used it and it works.  Its a aluminum alloy which
melts a just below aluminum melting temperatures [ kinda like soldering ] it
very strong stuff.
Phone 206-352-3471 or 3039, 1 lb of rod is $35.00, they sell torches also.
It's a alternative to TIG. You must follow directions.
