I'd hate to see this list eventually fail because of inadequate problem
solving when
this is so easy.

My "thoughts"?

If trimming replies . . . if adhering to common-sense email protocol is
an insurmountable problem . . . then these folks need to find a less
challenging hobby. I almost got banned a month or two ago for whinging
about "brainless posters". I told Mark I'd keep my fingers out of the
soup from now on - that if it gets so irritating that I felt I had to
whinge about it, I'd just sign out.

I wouldn't be much of a loss to the group if I did, but there have been a
number of valuable forum members who have, over the years, given up and
are gone - for the very reasons causing this recent controversy (yet
again).

I check in with BeechTalk, VanAirForce and POA periodically and I see
very careless behavior there too - people who will without thinking quote
a 300 line post they are responding to - as if those following the thread
are going to read 300 lines of text to prepare themselves to handle the
profound six-word reply of yet another BP. This phenomenon isn't limited
to KRNET, but we do seem to get more than our share.

There's nothing at all that needs fixing on KRNET. Those who post
sometimes need fixing though.
