Paul Visk Belleville Il. 618 406 4705 We recommend RG-58. If you choose to use another coax diameter, you are on your own. It took us two years of experiments to determine the best toroid mix for VHF antennas for RG-58. Antennas are reciprocal. That is, they have no idea whether they are transmit or receive. We believe ferrites are necessary on both transmit and receive antennas. Jim
