I've seen some net entries lately with the name Fiberfrax on the title and just came across this very good article on exhaust heat that mentions this product and others. I've always been suspicious of wrapping pipes and after reading this it's confirmed that it isn't a good idea. The article is the last one or near the last so keep scrolling.
