I really can't see a difference. I have had the opportunity to test fly 5 Kr's
over the years ,3 with the winglets and 2 without and I did not see any
difference at low speeds. 4 out of 5 had different engines so top speeds where
different so it is hard to tell there. I can say with les KR even though it is
heavy 925 lbs. it will cruise at 160 mph with an EJ22. it lands at a?little
below 80 mph. I cross the fence about 80 or 85 and once the runway is under me
I stopped looking at airspeed. I did not put them on mine even though les would
have made them for me. I did add 18" to?each tip because I flew out of a grass
strip of only 2100 feet. Getting out was ok, had to pay attention on getting
in. No speed brakes just little flaps.
