Almost 84 and still flying Pietenpol and KR-2; Thank you Lord. Sparky Sparks
Sent from Windows Mail From: dfeiger via KRnet Sent: ?Thursday?, ?March? ?19?, ?2015 ?6?:?35? ?PM To: krnet at list.krnet.org Flying; a few flights to log in on my 31st year on my KR2 N39426. Yesterday?s flight was around the John Day valley. I saw 178mph on the GPS; not level flight but shallow power on dissent over a friend?s place (I keep at least 1000? between me and the ground). About 140mph is my cruise at less than full throttle, with most of my flying at 5,000 to 7,000 feet above sea level. Thought I was going to have to give it up, 3rd class physical in September, new doctor picked up a heart murmur and failed me on my hearing test. At the FAA?s request I had to have an echo cardiogram and hearing test, passed with flying colors. Didn?t hear back from FAA . Wife called them in early February, the young sweet lady who answered said ?he is cleared to fly?. The FAA mailed my Medical Certificate on December 4th, but was returned ?undeliverable?; mailed to my street address instead of my post office box! So going on my 78th year on earth all is well.
