I can't speak to your application but, from my experience, B&C puts out some quality products. I'm using one of their 10 amp gear driven alternators on my 0-200 in place of the 60 amp alternator that was standard equipment on the C-150. I traded my 60 amp unit to another homebuilder for his B&C which had hundreds of hour of use and I've used it for 500+ hours without a problem. The 10 amp unit satisfies all my VFR electrical needs. It would also be adequate for night time use using LED position lights and limited use of landing lights. As always, your results may vary. :-) Larry Flesner
