I went over to Belleville IL and had a really nice visit with Paul and his son on Sunday.. ?Great that he's getting his son involved in the building process for the next generation of flyers. He's building a widened/stretched/deeper fuselage KR2S with the new airfoil and using a Corvair conversion engine.. ?They are doing some really nice construction! ?Lots of mods and looking for some good ideas on changing the aileron controls; ?so any of you that have done them differently ship him/us some pictures/description of what you've done.. We need to convince him to download some pictures and/or make a web page of his project and progress! ?He's planning on using wing tanks and a small header tank. ?Glass panel. ?Removable cover over the header tank and instruments for easy access. ?He's also burying all his antennas inside the tail/fuselage for better aerodynamics. ?He's also planning on making it IFR capable! I know he'd like Larry Flesner to drop in and take a look at his project one day! ?He's only a short drive from Downtown airport in East St. Louis.
