I have several thousand hours behind the VW and is probably the only auto
conversion I would ever fly behind. Joe at Revmaster is amazing to work
with. If I wasn't going to do it or the 0-200 I myself would go with
ULPower I really don't want to deal with the weight of water to cool the
engine plus it's just bulky all together. The UL engine is perpus built and
they have been around for better then 10 years now. Not to mention the cost
is about the same. After flying a Rans S-6 with a 912 I don't want leaking
water pumps and gearboxes. Granted Rotax did a good job of taking care of
warranty it was still an issue that will arise with a water cooled engine
and if it happens in flight you may not realize it till to late. Why add
more issues just remember KISS Keep It Simple Stupid. Just my 2 cents.
