I've used a Honda window opener for its light weight and torque. Didn't realize a bucket got pushed under the belly board when I was showing it off to my son. Damn near picked up the plane. I'm satisfied with the power. I've also been working on the flap system. Should have started planning long ago. Had to work around control cables and aileron mechanism, but I think I've worked out those kinks. I decided to use a Fowler/Slotted flap like on the Cessna. After many mock ups and trashed Ideas I believe I've worked it out. Using a linear actuator with 4"s of travel that pushes the flap back fairly flat for about 2"s before the drop to 45 degrees. My daughter has done the cad work for the tracks and I had them laser cut. I just started attaching foam to the flap. I'll post a few pics real soon.
