I've gotten things (including this most recent one that Larry is referring to) from Ray's address for quite a long time. Never very often and never anything that has caused a problem, but something got into his address book a long time ago and occasionally sends things out to the addresses in it. I'm no expert on this subject but it could be that his computer doesn't have a "bug" exactly but rather his address book contents have been harvested and used to send out spam. Or maybe that's the very definition of an internet bug - I always think of bugs as defects in programming. In any case it is very infrequent that I get something from his address and it's always easy to identify as spam since it's an impersonal message including a link we're supposed to click on. Of course I never click on such links from these kinds of emails. I'm very clever. I'm a pilot.
Mike KSEE For what it's worth, I'll mention that I never have ever used an "address book" packaged with email clients. They are prime targets for the spammers & other evil doers and of all the prime targets, Internet Explorer and Outlook/Outlook Express are the most targeted since they are packaged with Windows and therefore give the spammers & evil doers more bang for their buck. That's the way it used to be anyway. I'm sure they've gotten a lot more sophisticated with their tricks. ____________________________________________________________ Map Your Flood Risk Find Floodplan Maps, Facts, FAQs, Your Flood Risk Profile and More! http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3141/545524c767cc024c76fb0st02vuc
