I'm sure you have all heard the Chino group voted to have the 2015 Fly-in at
the McMinnville Municipal Airport, McMinnville Oregon. We are shooting for
the first weekend in September 2015. I am pleased and honored to be your
gathering host. This year's Chino Fly-in will be a hard act to follow, but
we are sure going to give it a try. Thanks again to Steve Glover for all
his hard work and putting together a great event.

I've met with the McMinnville airport management and have the following to
report. They will provide space for up to 50 KRs, camping will be allowed
in the grass by your plane (no fires), they will be providing us with a
hanger for workshops and gatherings, restrooms near plane parking, a pilot
lounge and hopefully the shower room will be in operation by then. Did I
mention at no charge. Fuel and maintenance and rental cars are available on
the field. PDX to McMinnville is about a 1.5 hour drive if you don't try it
during any of the commuting hours.

Across the highway is the Evergreen Air & Space Museum. The home of the
Spruce Goose and the world's only Boeing 747 water slide. Check them out on
the net. I've been in contact with the Museum staff and they are working on
a group rate for us. Plenty of nearby hotels and RV parks. I'll put out
more info as it comes in.

If you have any ideas for workshops or the gathering in general feel free to
pass them along.

Hope to see you all there.
