Hello all! I decided to introduce myself since I am new to the group and the KR family. My name is Alex Pearson and I live in San Antonio, TX. Took my private written in 1976 and became a certified pilot at 30 (1989). I have a bit over 500 hours however I have not flown since 2006. Starting tailwheel combined with recurrent training tomorrow.
In the last 3 weeks I have purchased 2 KR2s and 1 KR2S all with VW motors. 1 KR2 and the KR2S are both projects however one of the KR2s is a mostly finished machine ready for an Airworthiness Certificate. I would have liked to have been at the Gathering however I was driving a KR2 from Louisiana. I look forward to the opportunity of meeting others in the KR family and being a part of some of the Gatherings. If any of you are close to San Antonio let me know.
