Saturday was great KR flying for me as well. Instead of the breakfast usual run
from Lees Summit to Miami County airport we flew to Excelsior Springs Mo (3EX)
for a EAA chapter pancake breakfast fly-in. The runway was pretty short at
2000' but I still had no major issues landing without either flaps or a belly
board, just needed to be "on the numbers" as they say. Next we flew over to a
friends farm near Cameron MO where she is looking to put in a grass runway. Of
course we had to practice "low passes" to simulate a landing on her farm.
About 2 hours of fun, yes it was a great KR day!

Great day for KR flying !!! Went flying around the countryside
looking for something to eat. Problem was airport cars gone or inop.
Came home hungry but really booking on speed. Crossed over the top
of one airport with home airport 47 miles ahead. Travel time with a
35 mph tailwind was 15 minutes. I love speed !!!! Keep building
fellow builders, there are fun times ahead !!!!!
