Today, the ice finally melted enough to open my hanger door. This is the first time I have been able to open it since my last flight on November 14, 2013. Yep, you guessed it. I was not intending to fly but the urge was irresistible and I took to the sky. The Corvair took a little coaxing to start up. On the third attempt and after two blade rotations she fired right up. I taxied over to the fuel pumps and to my surprise there was an out of order sign on them. I did have enough fuel for a short flight of just over a half hour. What a rush to get back in the air after all this time. The flight was perfect. Just wanted to share this with you guys.
