Thanks to all who replied to my question about cheap/free flight planning software. For the last few years, Airmap's Fuel Planner is indeed my starting point, but the Skyvector program was new to me. Although I'd rather have a combination of the two, they are a workable solution in tandem. I also tried DUAT Flight Voyager, which crapped out on startup with an error message, so that one's a non-starter for me, apparently. I do appreciate the feedback...
