Thanks for the info. I need to seal aft of the the horizontal stab area before I install the the plywood webs. I won't have access after there installed.

You will have to order Spar Varnish from a Marine Supply house. Real Varnish is going to be more expensive. If you put a coat of Epoxy on your wood surfaces then you need at least 3 coats of a high solid Poly or Varnish (Like Minwax Spar Poly) for UV protection. The epoxy will turn milky if you dont.
