Years ago I found a pneumatic tire which works excellent as a tail wheel. Pete Brautigam installed it on his KR and loves it. The best thing about it is that it is quiet and smooth over cracks. The tire wheel assembly is used on dirt downhill skateboards. The diameter is 6 inched if I remember correctly. I found them at a store called "Wheel and Sprocket. I never understood why more folks did not convert to the pneumatic wheel. Back then the tire and rim was about $20.
