Great choice of engines.  The oil tank is not so much a problem as 
the carburetor and intake.  The oil tank requires only few inches of 
drop in the lower cowl.  If the cowl is already fabricated, just 
remove material until it will mount to the airframe and then 
reconstruct to clear the tank and

extra bump in the cowl is well worth the small penalty for the 
reliability you get from keeping the engine setup as stock and 
reliable as possible.  My 0-200 is stock, the way it came the C-150, 
and has not given me a single maintenance issue in 475 hours to date 
on the carb or intake area.
