My KR-1 with a 1835 VW had oil temps that were approaching 240 in the summer months that I thought were too high.
I just substituted the stock oil cooler for a type 4 oil cooler which has 2 more rows of cooling fins and that solved the problem. However, if you look at the way I did it, you get oil cooler cooling and also sump cooling comes for free. This worked for me with no degradation to CHT temps. See a previous post. Does anyone have any info on cooling the VW oil sump? _______________________________________________ Search the KRnet Archives at http://tugantek.com/archmailv2-kr/search.
