Page 20 of my January 1990 building manual states in Drawing No. 13 "(1/2" x 1/2" (touches the plywood web on forward side )". Likewise, the lower cutaway isometric illustration shows the same thing. The lines representing the bottom edges of the block touch the line representing the front top edge of the lower spar but stop short of touching the line representing the rear edge. Also sheet W1 of the KR-2S Spar Details states "Alternate 1/2" Sq. Against Front Face ". Note that the Outer Wing Aft Spars have the 1/2" Sq. blocks touching the rear face of the web.
I think Virgil is wrong when he says "on center", which to me implies that the blocks do not touch either web. Allen G.
